Leather Chesterfields - English leather sofas at their best!

Leather chesterfield sofas are what we do here at leather-sofas.com, and because we stick to our core market of English Sofas, Chaise Longue, and Chairs- both club chairs and High or Wing back chairs, we are experts in the supply of them. We offer over 30 standard leathers in various finish from antique to premium and even hand dyed leathers for that authentic finish. We also offer over 15 variations on the standard chesterfield sofa style and have made many bespoke items in custom dimensions, fabrics, and even built to complete clean-sheet designs.

Leather chesterfields are traditionally seen as leather covered sofas with a straight back and deep buttoned or tufted. This is still the case, though we also offer some rather unique variations on this, the oldest of sofa designs. We offer chesterfield sofas with crested backs, sloped or scooped arms, studded, piped or pleated arms, the list goes on!

Our guide to the types of leather sofas and chesterfield furniture we supply:

Chesterfield Sofas

These settees are usually termed leather chesterfields. They will normally be covered in antique leather and deep buttoned or tufted all over. Chesterfields are usually built on hardwood frames because when a fully buttoned chesterfield sofa is complete, the frame is under a huge amount of pressure due to the springing and buttoning techniques used. All of our chesterfield sofas are also hand studded, so you can choose to have chrome, steel, or standard antique nails in the facings. When it comes to the feet, we offer many options on our chesterfield sofas, including mahogany bun feet, brass castors, or taller contoured legs.

Leather Club Chairs

Our leather club chairs come in many variations- from the classic chesterfield chair, a fully buttoned or tufted seat with straight back, which can be covered in any leather, to the more contemporary club chairs we can offer, perhaps covered in a fabric or faux leather if you prefer. Leather Chesterfield Club Chairs are and have always been popular within doctors waiting rooms, solicitors and dentists, and in the many army, navy, and MOD barracks around the world- mostly within the officers messes. Club chairs, and in particular, leather club chairs, are very popular in many settings.

Wing Back Chairs and Queen Anne Chairs

Queen anne chairs and sofas have been around for many years. Seen in a wide variety of locations, wing back chairs or queen anne chairs can be seen in some of the most traditional homes, in many nursing and retirement homes, and even in contemporary apartments. Wing Chairs also come in recliner format and riser recliner / rise and recline format. These wing back chairs are particularly suited to nursing home and care home envrioments and can be covered in specialist fabrics and contract vinyls to protect against penetration from most substances. We can also custom make a wing back chair to your own sizes, so instead of it being a queen anne, it could be a king Edward!
